Liam Martin is a British director and cinematographer with a background in documentary storytelling. I regularly enjoy working on short form branded content and music videos, but I’m perhaps best known for working on thoughtful and empathetic documentaries. My degree in philosophy underpins my fascination with familial relationships, mental health, subcultures and how we relate to our environment both internally and externally. I have had the good fortune to travel and have worked across Europe, the United States, Asia, and some very challenging environments including the Yucatan jungle in Mexico and uninhabited islands in both the Indian Ocean (hot) and Shetland (freezing). My work has been programmed at international film festivals, displayed in galleries and museums, and distributed through online platforms such as Vice and The Guardian.
